The EASO Policy Conference 2019 – “The Social and Economic Impact of Preventing and Treating Obesity” will take place on Thursday 16th May at the Renaissance Hotel in Brussels. The event is being held in conjunction with European Obesity Day (EOD) 2019.

The event will be chaired by John Bowis, former UK Minister of Health and former MEP and MP.
Speakers will include representatives from the EU institutions, WHO, OECD, EASO, EU Member State representatives, academia, healthcare professionals and representatives of EU disease and therapeutic associations.
The conference is expected to be attended by more than 100 EU and national policymakers, politicians, representatives from national representations and ministries, obesity specialists, healthcare professionals, and organisations representing the many diseases on which obesity impacts.
